Hewlett Packard komt met de DreamScreen. Volgens de juichende berichten op de site VentureBeat heeft HP Apple verslagen om als eerste met een mooie tablet computer te komen. Maar is dat ook zo? Het apparaat ziet er inderdaad mooi uit, maar als je dan verder gaat lezen:
‘These screens are hybrids of slate computers and digital photo displays. They’re not multitouch screen-enabled. (You can easily imagine future models like that, once the costs come down). But you can control the panels through touch-enabled controls on the border of the screen.’
Huh? Geen multitouch? Meer iets voor de keuken dus. Dan toch maar even wachten op de Apple. Volgens de nieuwste geruchten wordt de Apple Tablet verwacht in februari 2010. Deze berichten zijn afkomstig van Taiwanese toeleveranciers, volgens de Taiwan Economic News:
‘ The tablet PC features a 9.6-inch screen, finger-touch function and built-in HSPDA (high speed download packet access) module, and adopts a P.A. SEMI processor chip and long lasting battery pack, selling for between US$799 and US$999.’
Februari 2010 dus. Dat is vlak voor mijn verjaardag…
